The winner of this Award will not be eligible to compete in future Noel Burnett Tap Awards. A minimum of 10 entries is required to hold the Award

Competitors must dance in at least one open class in the Tap section to be eligible for the Noel Burnett Tap Award.

Competitor are required to attend the preliminary Award workshop with the tap judge.

Competitors will be required to perform three dances as follows:

1. Workshop Dance - Plain dance attire. Dance taught in the Award workshop. Music set by judge.

2. Own Selection from Tap, Slow, Waltz, Latin, Speed (cannot enter class chosen for Own Selection in Open Tap section). Competitors must nominate their chosen dance for Own Selection by close of entries.

3. Multi / Variable Tempo tap dance - This dance needs to have 2 or more Tempos which will be shown in the Music.

The winner will be invited to dance in the ACDS Final Gala on Saturday 4th October 2025. We would love to have you show your talent and we very much hope you are able to perform. A photo will be taken for ACDS social media.

1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters are required to submit a letter or email of acknowledgement to the Burnett Trust regarding their future plans. This letter is to be emailed to aucklandcales@gmail.com no later than two weeks after the award.
